I went out solo again on Christmas Eve day, yesterday, with a promise to Mila I would be home by nine AM. Dinner was planned at Grandpa Sal’s place and he asked for a fish to throw on the BBQ to go along with his famous Christmas Oyster Stew.
I was home by 9:23am with this chrome bright, orange meated buck steelhead. I even ran into my friend Colin The Crusher and watched him land only his second hatchery steelhead ever. I love to see people excited about fishing. Really, it’s one of the things I live for.
If you haven’t seen your photo(s) up here this week and you’re expecting to based on your recent catch (FM, Hustler, Crusher, Blaze & others)…..I’m sorry about that. I can’t seem to get caught up with fish pictures and videos as hard as I try. But, I’ll keep trying.
After all, it’s a good problem to have and I’m grateful to have friends to fish with and anglers that are willing to contribute to the success of All Around Angler.com. Remember, tell a friend about us. We never reveal river names. We are the only site I know of to keep this promise.
Merry Christmas from the Founder of this 6 year on going labor of love.

Many thanks for the tasty steelhead to grace the Christmas eve dinner table. Also wanted to ask about a rumor of a spring chinook being taken in the last few days. Can that be for real? Merry Christmas. Sal
Sturdy Kirby caught a chrome bright chinook on plunk today in the Big River. Call it what else you will….I call it pretty damn cool.
