My Dad Gets a big December Chinook Salmon

My Dad’s buddy Dan Shively recently bought a driftboat. They’ve been pulling plugs together now for about 6 or 8 months. Both for steelhead and salmon. They’ve had some success with steelhead but hadn’t got down and dirty with a big Chinook Salmon yet. Scratch that: Now they have.

This Chinook Salmon was so big my dad could’ve almost crawled into the thing and worn it as a costume. Needless to say it was bigger than the 23lbs he cracked off on me when I asked for the numbers. What do you think?

Anyway, they rolled into the boat launch to only see three other rigs there…this was on Friday, I believe. Without bait-wrapping and only adding some scent they dropped out two silver/green Kwikfish. First ten minutes of their voyage….2 fish hooked and this beautiful hen landed. I just picked up the massive egg yield last night.

Way to go Dad and Dan. You guys rock. And you didn’t need a Salmon Madam to get it done. No offense, Kenny Mack.

Man, you are amazing Chris. I am so proud to follow your website and the great work and especially, the great play that you are doing with your fishing. I sense that all your effort will bring you some major money and success! I know that there is a place for you to be able to do clinics and to guide if you wanted to, but I sense that’s not where you want to be. Blessings on whatever you do. You truly have found a place that you shine big time and I am most happy to see it and to follow your ROCKING website!

Thanks a million for the kind words Uncle Scott. To this point it’s been exclusively a labor of love. If I could make some money it would be a dream come true. It already is in many ways. Your praise is heartfelt and much appreciated. Thank you for reading my site and for encouraging me to succeed.

    Your Nephew,
