Yarnie of the evening….

April 4th, 2010

With an impending trip along a river near you dangling tastily before me….I thought I’d share my ‘yarn ball of the evening’ with all you late night readers out there.

This is cerise and shrimp glo bug yarn mixed with McFly Foam cerise.

It’s tied with an egg loop above the yarn so I can tip it with a Brick shrimp and loop a small bait of roe and/or.

We’ll see if I can slime it up tomorrow. Got a legacy TS member in town named Short Dog. We’ll be flogging steelhead sticks along with Sal.

Curing Roe…part of the “How To” series

April 4th, 2010

To many of you out there this post may be completely rudimentary. It is very helpful, however to many others.

For others who may be new to the sport of river angling or just new to the gear side of the methodology….and have maybe never cured their own roe.

Now they’ll be able to keep their roe and customize their own egg curing process over time.

I’m here to share a quick 4 minute ‘how to cure roe’ demonstration of a process that I’ve developed over my own time.

I decided to not go with any music as this is school time more than party time.
