Do you remember as a kid (if you’re over 35 you probably do) when people used to say “Psych” when they fooled you or joked with you about something?
Well I had a river do that to me today: As I approached the last turn on the gravel road before the trailhead I was flabbergasted to see ZERO other vehicles in the parking area. Yes, I just said “flabbergasted”. I actually laughed out loud…..having checked freezing levels and having already been snowed on….I knew the river would be fishing.
I should have paid attention to the wind forecast however. The water had dropped in a little too nicely with the cold weather…….. and clear water mixed with winds made leaf soup.
