Affordable rods tutorial on location….

Phoogoo and myself shot a movie on how to choose your salmon and steelhead rod today. We did so at the largest west coast fishing tackle and specialty retailer….Fisherman’s Marine and Outdoor. Special thanks to store manager, Leann Norman, as well as Dan Grogan and the Fisherman’s ownership team.
You’ll all enjoy our look into the ever growing Pacific Northwest salmon and steelhead fisheries and how to choose a rod for an intermediate decision into a new method of angling for you.
For example, you are an intermediate angler unless you are well versed in every method of angling applicable to your sought after species. In other words, most of us are advanced with one method or another…but overall, most of us are intermediate anglers striving to add to our repertoire.
In this special shot today at Fisherman’s…I’ll examine some ‘production’ or overseas rods that are built today soley to cater to our PacNW fisheries. They’re spec’d out like the spendy custom rods…but priced right for the angler who is exploring a new angling method.
You can now find production rods in longer lengths and with more specified line and weight ranges without even spending 100 dollars. This is very relevant considering the shape most of us are in financially.
