ALASKA trips starting to trickle in….

This is Rob ‘Shorty’ Hammill….2009
It’s that time of year when that buddy of yours has either, just gotten back from the great north, or is just about to make the trip. As we get older, those of us who have been can truly attest, the amazing place that is Alaska must be explored as much as humanly possible. As we speak, I am planning a trip for September of ‘10 to chase these bountiful and bullish sliver freight trains.
If you haven’t been? Plan a trip. Research it by asking questions on the site. This group of people has many trips, successful and no, under our belts. Experience is served up on a soup spoon on this website, folks. Just right for your sippin’.
So, it’s this time of year when the media from team members’ trips starts to get back to me. You don’t get to see everything, but I try to get you as much as I possibly can.
In the spirit of this introduction to the salmon motherland, here’s a couple pics I just got back from Shorty and his trip to the Kenai area.
..SIDE NOTE: Currently, Pigsticker is in Hoonah, Alaska….reports so far are; “salmon has been slow, but halibut has been decent….”
Shorty and I grew up fishing together from teenage years and have fished more than 5 states together…
Hopefully Rob will give us a break down and a little story in the comment section! Thanks for sharing buddy. You are one helluva salmon fisherman.
