Sal and his pals

A week ago, I headed up to the mouth of the Wind in search of bright Springers. I had a friend from Virginia in town and was anxious to get him into a fish or two.
Another frined of mine - Brian “bring em to the boat” Bair, who lives in Stevenson, kindly offered to take us out in his boat. We fished the “bubble” marked by bouys at the mouth of the river. We hit our firs fish after about 1.5 hours of trolling.
By 3pm we had 3 in the boat and decided to call it a day. All of the fish were chromers and fought well. They ranged from 14-17 pounds and were a treat to have. Four of us were in the boat and I was the poor soul that went without.
