With No Rain In Sight………

Well, for us river fishermen, this is turning out to be a tough start to our typical banner month of
the year.
I’ve got a guy in my office that keeps razzing me about going out in the bay with my driftboat.
I keep telling him I’d rather lick a window, than troll. I don’t know how to explain my
disdain for boat trolling, other than I guess I have my Dad to blame for that.
You see, he was never a big fan of fishing near crowds. So much in fact, that we NEVER trolled for Salmon, Steelhead, Trout, or any other fish we could find in a river instead.
We would always rather fish the river. It’s nice to have your feet under you. It’s nice to be able to hunt from the river bank in search of your elusive catch.
Bay, Lake or Big River trolling is about the last thing anyone with the last name of HELLER is going to do.
You’ll find us upriver………or in the case we are currently faced with, of NO RAIN IN SIGHT, you’ll find B Dog Lobey and I watching Pac 10 football with our NBA League Pass on ’switch back’.
If you are planing to attack the bay this weekend, that’s a great bet for stacked fish.
You just won’t see me, Sal or B Dog Lobes in that mess.
