Fly tying round table (last Tuesday of every month)
December 14th, 2007Hey there guys.
I have been attending this “round table” for some time now and have learned quite a bit. Some extremely knowledgeable legends of the sport teach flies that they have either created from scatch, or adapted to their own tastes. Randall Kaufmann, Lani Waller, Randy Stetzer, Joel LaFollette and many more have taught from time to time.
If anyone is intersted in attending this, it is held at the new Kaufmann’s Streamborne off of 99W in Tigard. It is always the last Tuesday of every month (with exception of holidays). The class is free and materials are supplied. All you need is your vise and tools.
Here’s the steelhead fly we tied in our last class with Randy Stetzer. It is named for the river it was tied for but it has been a productive pattern on many rivers. And no this isn’t the one I tied. (Mine was much prettier!)
