H2O makes coastal run finds success….

November 19th, 2008

As if on queue, H2O has just provided these for me…..as I mentioned ’staggering’ success in my previous post…this is my reference….low, clear water and JT pulls this thing out on some ‘good eggs’, in his words. Hey DC, where the hell is your picture? Below average, Pal. Nut up. Get me that pic. Other AAA’s need to see your chrome. Especially since I heard you are calling it a ‘30′……… :-)

Anyway, enough ‘big tonin’ on ya’ll……here’s H’s photo spread…..enjoy your Hump Day.

  7. Sorry fellas been on baby duty this week; in the last ten hours I’ve had my face hurled on by my daughter(pasta) and just got peed all over by my son while changing his diaper. (no Brandon not an fdc). Anyway last weekend I went on a blast and cast mission for bear and kings. I did not get to shoot anything, but definitely got to put some more meat in my now over flowing freezer.

I met up with Brent and his buddy Josh on the muddy Wilson river and we decided to go to the Kilches where there were tons of drift boats and bank anglers but no fish caught. so we decided to go up to the boat launch at the park. There was a few guys up stream and nobody fishing right above the boat launch, so being lazy we decided we should post up there. The water was nice and steelie green.

I cured some eggs a couple of weeks ago and have been anxious to use them. Well it turns out they work pretty well. I caught a 13 lb silver hen (and released her….) very nice fish super bright. Then about 30 minutes later hooked into something huge, at least it felt huge on my new lammy boat rod that is kind of a noodle (12to 25).

That fish took me up river and down and threw trees for 25 minutes before brent could get it netted. it wasn’t the biggest king i’ve seen but it was my biggest yet. I still have not reached the 30 lb mark yet. but I plan on getting down there asap. anyone for a Sunday trip?

Oh yeah so after I bonked that big boy DC and JD met us down there and DC just couldn’t stand that I got that fish so he busted out his spey rod and in three casts got himself the twin to mine on a home-maid fly. Peace out
