All Around Angler.com is proud to feature a special page on this website for people who have donated their time, money or product to the growth and development.
It’s crucial for a bootstrap and grass roots effort like this one to be successful. Passion gets you most of the way there…and some help gets us all the way there.
I will update this page as donations and contributions will be continuously recognized: LAST UPDATED FEBRUARY 19TH, 2012.

*Western Fishing Operations:

Through a fellow All Around Angler and contributor of this site, Steve ‘The Hustler’ Gustafson I was made aware of some fantastic locally made custom plastics….Western Fishing Operations, owned and operated by Rusty Bell. I used my first WFO plastic earlier this season to the tune of two fish right off the bat. When nothing else worked these plastics found some fish and dug them out of their high water trenches. Rusty has really captured what river anglers are looking for with what I might refer to as Next Generation Plastics. Because that’s exactly what they are. They put Berkley to shame and are a higher quality plastic than Mad River. Zippers? No shot at competing with WFO. Just ask Abe ‘Seargent Hitman’ Allison or Ryan ‘The Killer’ Kelner and they’ll tell you the same thing. Outstanding plastics with outstanding results. I’ve added Rusty’s company to my ‘Links’ section and am now featuring a series of photos from WFO’s new line of Quality Fishing Tackle including a new Nightmare Craw Pattern and worm pattern.

His combination of colors is absolutely to die for and Rusty has the experience to stand behind a product that produces. Plus these plastic hold up very well in frigid temps when other plastic curl and tear. Simply click on the WFO link to order yours today.

*Cascade Jigs by Daniel Cox

I’m also recognizing Daniel Cox of Cascade Jigs for his care package of kick butt, high quality, fish catching steelhead and salmon jigs and custom made in-line ball bearing float sinkers. I’ve added permalinks for both these guys and hope you’ll give them a look next time you need eith of the above mentioned product.
The two single biggest steelhead I’ve ever caught excluding a big Alaskan fish back in ’95 have come on Cascade Jigs…a custom tie company owned by Daniel Cox. I’ve been lucky enough to fish Dan’s jigs since 2009 and they never let me down. Although I’ve had amazing production on one jig in particular….I’ve always wanted to try a variety of his work in order to accommodate varying water conditions. For example; I knew that Dan was hammering summer fish in low water with micro jigs….and that he was nailing fall chinook with his specified ‘King Style’ jigs as well. And if you read this site then you know I’m a big fan of nightmare patterns….so Dan punched out some wicked nightmares for me to sink under a float as well. My 21.22lb winter fish this year was taken on a peach schlappen cascade that I slightly modified with a small peach worm tail. Dan saw that and pounded some out imitating that modification by adding a saddle hackle tail that is to die for. Check out some of Dan’s patterns and give him a call to order yours today. Make sure you mention All Around Angler.com as your reference.

To reach Dan and discuss your needs….Please call him at 971-222-6299.
You can search ‘Dan Cox’ or ‘Cascade Jigs’ in my home page search engine for a complete breakdown of pictures, sizes, techniques, videos and more.

*Please welcome John Strenk and his company, The Reel Tech, to All Around Angler.com. Got a bad reel? Box it up and send it to John. Experience and passion goes a long way in this game. And chances are your older reels are built better than many newer ones. Might as well ship ‘em out to tune ‘em up. Here’s John:
“Through my many adventures, I have acquired an extensive knowledge of both fresh and salt water fishing, and the gear and tackle associated with it. I have utilized my passion for fishing and the gear we use to become a very successful reel repair technician. For over 20 years now, I have been fixing, repairing, rebuilding, maintaining, and troubleshooting all types of fishing reels, from small freshwater spinning reels, to offshore 2-speed big game reels.
Your reel is a crucial part of getting that hooked fish to the bank or boat. To me, the fishing reel is a machine, a work of art, and a very important tool of our trade as fishermen. Like any machine, regular maintenance is necessary to keep the reel working in top form. A fishing reel in poor working order is a handicap for success. A fishing reel in perfect working order will ensure performance the entire battle from the initial hook set to the net.
I built this business delivering integrity, honesty, quality service, and fast turnaround. As an avid fisherman, I understand that no fisherman should be without his tools longer than absolutely necessary. It is my mission to get you back in the water as quickly as possible. I am confident that your satisfaction will be met, and you will join my growing family of return customers.
For me, fishing is not just a hobby…it is a way of life…an obsession.” John Strenk, The Reel Tech
I have added John’s company to my list of Friends and Partners located under the ‘Links’ tab. Soon enough we’ll have a static location for him on the Homepage.
