Who remembers this classic? With almost 110,000 views this video shows no signs of slowing down. OR of creating a social debate seemingly never won.

    I think the only thing that has changed since this was originally done, is that there are more folks flagging. It does require some degree of skill but it is not what I call “fishing” and it trashes the stream stretch for anyone who wants to fish. I would love to see ADFG write some regs to control this or designate specific areas for industrial strength flagging. Sal

    Fishing is older that bait and hook: nets, spears, bow and arrows, etc. have all been traditionally and commonly employed from ancient times; therefore, using more modern methods are not somehow more “fishing” than snagging, which I would classify somewhere between spear fishing and fishing with nets. Also, there are certain species such as Asian carp which cannot be caught by baited hook.
