Here’s a few pics highlighting the last few trips out for the Team.
Dave Heller w/ JP’s Guide Service owner Joseph Princen
Quick Tips…..
ALL OF THESE FISH ABOVE WERE TAKEN ON BOBBER DOGGED FLOAT RIGS w/ pencil lead attached to terminal swivel and fished just like a drift rig as described in my article ‘Nuances of the float game.’ Wacky rigging or upside down threaded plastics with a flotation placed between the hook and the tail of the plastic worm.
^Above: THIS TRIP w/ JEFF DONACA & HIS FATHER RON WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM JEFF TO HIS DAD AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE ONE HECKUVA GIFT. RON’S FIRST DRIFTBOAT TRIP STEELHEAD AND JEFF’S FIRST STEELHEAD IN OVER A YEAR. BOTH WERE TAKEN ON JIGS WITH A SLIDING SET UP.
Above: THE FIRST DRIFTBOAT NW CONNECT COLLABORATION w/ NWK Fishing WAS AN OVERALL SLOW ANGLING DAY WITH THE BIGGEST FISH GOING TO KENNY JAMES AT AROUND A BEEFY EARLY TEENAGER. MATTHEW MORRIS AND GARRETT JAMES ALSO WITH KILLS…
Above^: From the OP with JP straight to an epic pontoon trip through Ed Fast River Adventures along with Spencer Rhodes….Sal made some magic happen. Movie of this trip forthcoming.
Above^:After discovering FAST water holds BIG steelhead….John Webb, Kevin Gray and Brandon Holland beat some metal up….all were taken on drift.
Above^: Breaking John Webb’s skunk on this river and going for a limit from the AAA Diamond Back was epic. Propelling Nick Nichols into double digit hook ups in his first steelhead season ever….was equally great. Jigs, beads, hardware and bait all produced. A real ALL AROUND effort to find what they wanted and where.
sweet compiliation of photos. Lovin it!
