We all have a story about launching a drift boat. Maybe your truck got stuck trying to pull your boat up and over a sand bar. Or maybe you had to run it down a slide and had an extreme pucker factor ensue. Steve Gustafson and I now have a story that definitely tops yours. No matter what it is. Check this out as Rusty Bell drops his 1993 Alumaweld drifter some 200 feet down a near vertical….well, mountain side.
RUSTY BELL IS THE OWNER/OPERATOR OF WESTERN FISHING OPERATIONS…CUSTOM FISHING TACKLE AND WHAT I LIKE TO CALL NEXTGEN PLASTICS.
WE’LL HAVE MUCH MORE FROM RUSTY AND THIS TRIP VERY SOON…..

Amazing ride down the hill. The question now is how you guys did after the heroic boat launch? The water was looking a little high and the rain was coming down pretty good. Sal
WOW! those Tillamook boys sure know how to party.
The river was on a fast rise but we did manage one nice native that day. Fun day even though we did freeze our backsides off. Should have put the heater in the boat that day.
Cliff boating is an extreme sport I had not heard of until this day. Learned a ton this trip. Thanks a lot, Rusty.
