HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR FISH FOR THE CONTEST: THE VIRTUAL WEIGH IN…
This process includes the contestant submitting 2 date-verified electronic photos (details directly below) This is designed so all anglers, regardless of their geographical proximity to the contest host (Kirby and I), may submit their fish for the contest. From the west to the east (must be open-to-harvest waters) all anglers are welcome to join. AMENDMENT: **Anglers may take photo of fish on scale as option…amended March 14th, 2012.
1) Lay your fish on a flat surface. Place a tape measure for the length of the fish, make sure it can be read legibly, and snap your first photo.
2) Now place your tape measure from top to bottom at the thickest point of the fish to mark the girth. Snap your second photo.
*Include your measurements in writing as well. Any discrepancy will be examined by multiple parties including Kirby and myself.
3) Include a date verification in the photo to prove catch date: This can be a phone with the clock feature readable, a newspaper from that day or a time stamp on the digital photo itself.
4) Email the photo to ‘chris@allaroundangler.com’ or ‘PDXSAMONJUNKIE@yahoo.com’ or post to your Facebook page and then inform us it’s there…we can pull it down.
5) Once the picture is received you will again receive a confirmation email indicating such.
6) We will then enter the measurements into the “#Calculator” located here on AllAroundAngler.com for your official weight. (This formula is the common calculation of Length x girth x girth divided by 800.)
You are now entered into the contest.
New results will be posted weekly….or sooner as necessary when catches are submitted.
FINALLY…..Kirby and I will be hosting an outdoor BBQ featuring YUMMY food from Harry’s Fresh Foods. Location TBD.

NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN TODAY.
SMM Spring Chinook Tournament Update: 2 days left…..It’s been a WAY tough month for everyone who’s signed up for the SMM tourney. All you have to do to know that is look at the ODF and WDF numbers which are roughly at 1200 fish for 48,000 angling trips. That’s like .25 percent. Or less. I feel pretty good we got any fish in at all. There’s 2 days left and I’m not going to extend even in CR season is extended. Too much else going on. LOTS of great prizes for Kevin Gray who won ‘First Fish’ and most likely for John Webb who is sitting on a 25.5lb fish in line to win the ‘Biggest Fish’ award. If you can go catch 2 or more springers in the next two days you’ll win the ‘Most Fish’ award. Otherwise ‘Most Fish’ will get split between Kevin and John. Thanks to those who participated. Hopefully this will be an annual or semi-annual contest taking place once in the spring and once in the fall. I guess that will be up to our sponsors. Thanks to all the sponsors who I will recap at the end of the contest in two days.
