UPDATE: I just received E & C’s demo package today. The customization is very flattering. Good work, Guys.

Nothing makes me happier than to see our youth excited about fishing. Fishing has been there for me when nothing else was….and it’s saved my soul from wrong roads and bad turns. If every kid out there learned to fish instead of playing video games we’d be way better off. Enter Ethan Eisenstein: A teenage river angler who has found a passion for jig tying and steelhead angling. He fishes the big river too and I’ve featured him on my website before.

This post here on All Around Angler.com is meant as encouragement for these two young anglers to strive towards greatness. To strive towards the success of people like Dan Cox of Cascade Jigs or John Strenk of Reel Tech Custom jigs. It brings me tremendous joy to give back. To give back to what made me what I am today. Giving back to this game of river angling that defines me SO. here are some of Ethan and his friend Conner’s really cool and creative homemade jigs. They’ve got some really neat stuff.

They’re obviously putting a lot of time, effort and passion into their work. I’m excited to field test a handful of them that are headed my way in the mail. If you would like to comment on this post and ask Ethan or Conner how to get some of your own jigs they are now called “E&C Custom Jigs” please feel free. These two kids are living proof that Youth isn’t always wasted on the Young.

Congrats, Guys. By the way…as I finish this post I am contacted by Daniel Cox who has offered to provide E & C with a bulk discount on jig heads. That’s what it’s all about.

Those jigs look fishy!nice to see some of the younger crowd not sitting in front of a video game and instead sitting in front of a tying vise:)Well done guys.ethan ill get you on my facebook also, welcome to AAA.I myself don’t tie jigs but for those who do a jig swap would be pretty cool for you all to extend your imagination, then i the lazy one can purchase the final product:)

  3. Very nicely done Ethan! Keep that fishing fire burning inside you!! I agree with what Chris said, and keeping something as healthy and fun as fishing as your focus is a WIN situation!!
