One thing our new endorsed reel and rod repair technician, John Strenk, does not have is small steelheaditis. This guy really lays the wood into some TOADS. I can’t wait to fish with this guy.

Got Strenk?

“Cant get enough of bent rod shots. My Buddy captured this one of me with a full blown bendo
on a jig fish!”

“I decided to throw something big on this day, so I pulled out one of my home made custom 1/4 oz jigs in one of my
favorite colors……the jig pretty much looked like a pink and orange feather duster. A few casts later and down the float went.
Look at that mouth full of marabou, it looks like she bit off a piece of someones orange sweater!!
In true female fashion, Im pretty sure I heard her whisper before I released her “Its true, bigger is better”.

Those are some impressive fish. The big fish, jade greeen water and warm and sunny weather are my idea of a great day on the water. Sal

  6. Thanks fellas!
BB-Sometimes going big does work and gets their attention. I use 1/8 oz and lighter 98% of the time. Ill go bigger if the river conditions call for it or I get a wild hair. However I tie alot of marabou into my jigs, even my smaller ones.

Yes Sal, I agree, those sunny days in the winter are sure a pleasant and enjoyable change to usual winter steel conditions.

Go get em boys when the rivers come back into shape…..Im sure you will!!

    Stay bent to the cork!!!
