Tarpon jump
120# bobber-caught Tarpon breaking water from 50 yards….

This will be the first of many, many, saltwater installments.

I am sorting through over 3.1GB of data from my father, Sal Monid, and his trip to Tampa Bay.

I am also producing an hour-long movie as my first REAL movie production to go to DVD.

Anyone can request a copy and I will offer peaks from the trip throughout the next few days on this weblog.

The cost and availability of these Full Feature DVD’s is currently unannounced. Cheers.

Some amazing background….my rod went down and I set the hook. The fish camn blasting out of the water about 15 yds in front of our boat and made a good run before all the chaos started. As it turned out the tip of my hook went through the eye of the other guy’s hook and we were both “hooked up.” You have to wonder how the hell that could happen. Needless to say, I was pretty deflated after the whole thing played out. Sal

Through the eye of the hook? You have good aim, Sal. Looks like a kick ass trip.
